So I’m a little late with this post, but better late than never right? Not this past week, but the week before, was a fairly good workout week! I managed to get my 3 runs in, 1 of them a tempo run!
Monday: 5km run & full body circuit
Tuesday: Off
Wednesday: Off
Thursday: Tempo Run 6km
Friday: 6.5km run & abs
Saturday: Off
Sunday: Off
This past week though was a bit of another story. I’d like to blame working nights (and I usually do…), but I know it’s up to me to get a schedule together, and find that motivation to push through and get the workouts done.

Ya… Not very successful. I am disappointed in myself, but I’ll take it as a lesson learnt. If I want to see changes and be successful, commitment has to be there.
I love this picture. For so many years I’ve been guilty of doing all the “you don’t get it by…’ statements. But not anymore! I’m going to get it. I’m going to work my ass off!
I went to the gym yesterday evening with the boyfriend, and really had a good workout. I did an easy 5km, but cranked the speed up a bit for the last 2km and felt great. After that, I did a short upper body workout, then a few ab exercises. Loved it! I love the feeling when you’re leaving the gym, or finished a workout. That feeling that you just accomplished something. Awesome
I really need to focus more energy on that great feeling to remind myself why the gym, working out, and eating right is so good for me!
On another note… It’s REALLY cold here right now!! I think it was last week I was talking with some fellow bloggers about how mild our winter has been so far. I knew that it couldn’t last forever… Mother Nature has apparently realized it is in fact, January!
Brrr… I think I might just hibernate until next week…
