I can’t believe it’s already Friday evening! Where has this week gone? Did you see my post on Wednesday? Ouch… Lesson learned for sure! I’m finally able to walk normally, and will be hitting up the gym for a run and weight session after writing this!
Yestersay I was going to try to get my run in that was actually scheduled for Tuesday… This didn’t work. I’m a bit sad and frustrated with myself
I’ll most likely only get 2 of my 3 runs/gym sessions in this week now… I was so sore Monday-Wednesday, I definitely could not run (still slightly embarrassed about that! Haha). I went for a massage and a chiropractic adjustment Wednesday evening, and the massage definitely helped my legs. Sure didn’t feel good at the time though! Have you ever had a massage after leg day? I wanted to die cry.
I was planning on hitting up the gym earlier in the day yesterday. But those plans kind of got messed up… Ron MacLean was at our local Chapters, and was signing his new book.
What I thought would be maybe an hour wait, quickly (or not…) turned into 3 hours. For quite awhile me and the people I was standing with didn’t even think we’d get to see him! We finally did, and I got two of his books signed, one for my brother and one for my boyfriend. They better be happy… 3 hours, and I’m the best sister/girlfriend ever! It was pretty sweet to meet him though! I’m a huge hockey fan, and like many Canadians grew up watching Ron MacLean and Don Cherry every Saturday evening on Hockey Night in Canada. Yay!
So obviously that put a bit of a damper on my workout plans! Then all of a sudden it was Thursday evening, and I had to nap! I started my stretch of 5 nights last night, and I would not have been able to function without one! My night at work was CRAZY. One for the record books. I managed to consume a muffin and a ginger ale between 12am and 830am. Not exactly the ideal eating situation! We were non-stop busy, and I was in charge. I don’t mind being in charge of the unit (we usually have 36 patients), but it definitely is more work and more to think about! All the patients (and nurses…) survived.
Anyways! I was so happy to crawl into bed this morning! I’m ready for the gym now, and I’m going to destroy this run!
Then it’s off to work again…
Goodnight!
